1. Who we are

SmartInvest (startyourfinancejourney.com) is a free financial calculator suite operated by Jithin P R. The calculators cover Australian income tax, superannuation, HECS repayments, mortgage offset accounts, and Indian mutual fund / SIP tools.

2. Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Your salary, income, or take-home pay
• Your superannuation balance or contributions
• Your debt, loan balance, or repayment figures
• Your investment amounts or portfolio values
• Any other financial inputs you enter into our calculators

All calculation logic runs client-side in JavaScript. When you press "Calculate", no request is made to any server.

3. Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — which calculators are popular, which countries our users come from, and how people navigate between pages. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent
• Your approximate country / region (not precise location)
• Device type and browser
• Referral source (e.g. Google Search, direct link)

This data is anonymous and aggregated. We cannot identify you personally from Analytics data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

SmartInvest is supported by non-intrusive display advertising through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to websites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ad Settings.

We do not allow AdSense to use your financial inputs for ad targeting — because we never have those inputs in the first place.

5. Cookies

SmartInvest itself does not set any cookies. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may set their own cookies in accordance with Google's privacy policy. We do not use cookies to track sessions, logins, or preferences.

6. Third-party links

Some pages may link to external resources (e.g. the ATO website, ASIC MoneySmart). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

7. Children's privacy

SmartInvest is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will not notify you directly, so please review this page periodically if you are concerned.
